Discover Quend-Plage-Les-Pins, a natural town between beach, dunes and pine forests
Situated between the Baie de Somme and the Baie d'Authie, Quend-Plage is an ideal seaside resort for those looking to combine relaxation and nature discovery. Just 35km from our campsite in Saint-Valery-sur-Somme, this small Picardy resort offers a wide variety of outdoor activities. Start with the beach, the longest beach in the Marquenterre region, with its wild dunes and pine forest.
On the town side, take a stroll through the streets of the old village, where you'll find many houses listed as part of the heritage of the Côte Picarde holiday resort. Stop off at the church of Saint-Vaast de Quend, recognisable by its original bell tower, which is unique in the region. On the left is a picturesque chapel in the flamboyant Gothic style, whose origins date back to the 15th century.
The beach at Quend: the longest beach in the Marquenterre region - sand yachting and fishing on foot
With its 15km of fine sandy beach, Quend-Plage is a prime destination for seaside camping enthusiasts. The main beach, close to the town centre, is ideal for families. It stretches along the promenade for around 300 metres. Swimming is supervised in summer, and there is a tiralo for people with reduced mobility to enjoy the beach.
If you're a fan of speed and thrills, don't miss the opportunity to go sand yachting on the large beaches to the north and south of Quend. These dune-lined beaches offer a long stretch of sand for this emblematic sport of the Baie de Somme, which attracts many enthusiasts all year round.
At low tide, Quend-Plage becomes a favourite playground for shore fishing enthusiasts (cockles, razor clams, tellin clams, crabs, etc.). Accompanied by a local guide, learn traditional fishing techniques, equipped with nets, worm pumps and other fishing gear. This activity is ideal for families or friends, for a fun and rewarding day out. If you're interested in gastronomy, a guided walk through the bouchot mussel beds will give you the chance to learn more about mussel farming, one of the region's flagship activities.

The region is full of hiking trails winding through a variety of landscapes: wild dunes, pine forests, picturesque hamlets and marshes. Don't miss the Royon and Colombier trails, which offer quiet strolls along wooded sandy paths. These routes will allow you to observe the wealth of local wildlife, including the 120 species of birds that inhabit the Royon dunes. These routes are suitable for both beginners and more experienced walkers.
