Indoor swimming pool, kids’ club and summer entertainment
You’ll enjoy a heated indoor swimming pool, a great feature when the weather changes. Toddlers can enjoy the paddling pool, while parents can relax in the jacuzzi. Swimming is supervised in July and August. Perfect for children, reassuring for parents.
In July and August, there’s entertainment every day: kids’ club for 5/12 year-olds in the mornings, and activities for teenagers and adults in the afternoons. Themed evenings bring the whole family together.
Playgrounds, a bouncy castle, ping-pong tables and a tennis and volleyball court complete the campsite’s leisure facilities.

Designed for the little ones
For families with babies, the campsite provides a cot, changing table and small bathtub, at no extra charge. Heated sanitary facilities include children’s WCs and special areas for toddlers.
Mobile home or pitch: what’s best for your family?
For a family of 4 to 6 people, the 3-bedroom mobile home is the most comfortable option: children have their own space, and the master suite has direct access to the shower room. The 95 m² pitches, bordered by hedges, are ideal for families who travel with their own equipment and prefer contact with nature. The sanitary facilities are equipped with children’s WCs, and a baby area (changing table, small bathtub) is available for families of campers.

Walks in the Bay of the Somme
From Camping Le Walric, most of the must-do activities on the Baie de Somme are less than 30 minutes away.
The Chemin de Fer de la Baie de Somme
The Chemin de Fer de la Baie de Sommerelie Le Crotoy, Noyelles-sur-Mer and Saint-Valery-sur-Somme in Belle-Époque carriages, along marshes and salt meadows. Allow around 1 h per trip between Saint-Valery and Le Crotoy, with a stop at Noyelles-sur-Mer, for a round trip of almost 2 h. Suitable for families, the activity is accessible with young children. Children under 4 travel free, and fares start at around €12-13 for an adult and €9 for a child, depending on the route chosen.
Seal watching at Le Hourdel
The colony of 200-300 calf seals can be seen all year round from the Pointe du Hourdel and the outskirts of Cayeux-sur-Mer, without the need for equipment or a ticket. Observation takes place at low tide, at least 100 m from the animals. The winter months (November-February) are the most favorable: seals stay on land longer. Winter peak all year round. Crossing the bay with a guide
Guided walks in the sands and channels are the star activity for families with children aged 8-10 and over. Short outings are also available from Saint-Valery or Le Crotoy, for those aged 6 and over. Barefoot walking in the mud guaranteed – bring sacrificial clothing. A guide is compulsory: never cross alone. June-September. From 6 years (walk) / 8 years (crossing) – ~15-20 €/person.
The medieval town of Saint-Valery-sur-Somme
The ramparts and the Herbarium (a free, fun medieval garden), 1 km from the campsite, can be visited in 1 h 30 to 2 h. Suitable for children aged 5 and over, it’s an ideal way to start or end the day without a car.
Family-friendly beaches
The beaches of the Baie de Somme offer a variety of family-friendly environments. Le Crotoy is considered the most family-friendly, with its large, south-facing sandy beach. Cayeux-sur-Mer stretches along a long pebble beach, with vast, wilder areas that appeal to older children. At Fort-Mahon-Plage, sand yachting is the emblematic activity: supervised sessions are available for 8-10 year-olds and upwards, at a cost of around €20 per hour. The beaches of the Picardy coast are particularly lively from June to September.
Safe cycle paths for children in the Baie de Somme
The Baie de Somme is also an ideal destination for families who love cycling. Our campsite has the “Accueil Vélo” label. Discover the Véloroute de la Somme, a flat, safe itinerary that’s great for children. The destination has few hills and is particularly well-suited to gentle strolls. For an easy outing, you can combine a bike ride with a trip on the little train between Saint-Valery-sur-Somme and Le Crotoy, which also helps rest the legs of younger children.

When is the best time to go camping with your family in the Baie de Somme?
The Bay of the Somme through the seasons
May, June and September offer a good compromise: pleasant temperatures, less crowded bay, more affordable rates. It’s the ideal time for walking, cycling and seal-watching. In July and August, the campsite is at full capacity – kids’ club every morning, daily entertainment and themed evenings – but you’ll need to book several months in advance.
